Mexican president Adolfo López Mateos, left, shakes hands with US president Lyndon B. Johnson during UCLA’s commencement ceremonies in 1964. López Mateos, who led Mexico from 1958 to 1964, was born in Atizapán de Zaragoza on May 26, 1910. His hometown was eventually renamed Ciudad López Mateos in his honor.
