Raimundo Díaz Pacheco and members of the Nationalist Cadets flying the Puerto Rican flag (at a time when its public display was forbidden by law) and the flag of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party in 1947, on the day when nationalist leader Pedro Albizu Campos returned to the island after spending ten years in jail on the American mainland. This picture was reblogged earlier with the Ponce Massacre post but it was taken a decade later. Díaz Pacheco was gunned down during a demonstration in 1950.
